Import and Export Alarms

You can use alarms created by other users, that exist in other connections. When setting up a new connection, save time by importing common alarms. Help new users by exporting your alarms to their existing connections.

To import an alarm

1. Click the Import icon from the toolbar above the Alarms tree. The Import Alarms panel is displayed.
2. Click Choose File and navigate to the desired connection’s alarm file (an .alm file), and open it.
3. Select the alarms you want to import, and click Import. The imported alarms appear in your Alarms tree.

To export an alarm

1. Click the Export icon from the toolbar above your Alarms tree. The Export Alarms panel is displayed.
2. Navigate to the alarm you want to export (an .alm file) and select it; it remains highlighted.
3. Click Export . A message window appears.

4. Click OK.
