Accessing Your Reports on a PC

NOTE: The default location for the IFS is the user's home directory, typically: /home/username/reportname.csv where username is the user profile name. The location of the home directory is specified in the user profile definition. If the home directory does not exist, the report is routed to the root directory, for example: /reportname.csv. It is recommended that a home directory be created for users that create Authority Broker reports to a Directory file.

There are 2 ways to access your reports on a PC:

  • Use FTP to retrieve a file from the IFS, or
  • Retrieve a file using iSeries Navigator.

Both of these options use network access servers that can be secured using Powertech Network Security.
