Powertech Event Manager Home Page for Insite
Overview
Powertech Event Manager provides a comprehensive set of interfaces help you control the security and maintain the privacy of sensitive data.
Powertech Event Manager identifies, records and alerts on potential threats and incidents affecting both technology and sensitive company data.
The Powertech Event Manager home page provides the entry point to the Event Analysis, Event Management and Forensic Analysis of your security data.
When you select Powertech Event Manager as the Insite product, the Home page is the default page displayed.
Connection Status
The Connection Status section of the Home page displays the current status of the connection to the instance of Powertech Event Manager.

Connection name
The name of the product connection is displayed as a hyperlink to the instance of Powertech Event Manager. Hover the mouse over the connection name to display the IP Address in the Information bar at the bottom of this display.
Status
The current connection status is also displayed. This can be one of:
- If connection is created with the correct IP Address and with supported version (greater or equal to version 6.0)the message reads "The product connection is properly configured."
- If connection is created with wrong IP Address the message reads "The connection is not properly working. Check its configuration." The configuration link opens the Connection page with the subject connection side-form opened in Edit mode.
- If connection is created with correct IP Address and the version is not supported, (lower than 6.0) the message reads "An unsupported version of Powertech Event Manager is installed."
Refresh
Click the Refresh button to update the current display with any new configuration settings.
Event Analysis
The Event Analysis section is used to open a dashboard view, from within Insite of the event collection trends and assists with identifying any possible security breaches or areas where more investigation may be required. Click View in the Event Analysis panel to open this display.
Event Manager
Use the Event Manager section to open the instance of Powertech Event Manager in Event Manager mode, allowing you to review the controlled events required to meet current security regulations and prevent security threats. Click View in the Event Manager panel to open this display.
Forensic Analysis
Use the Forensic Analysis section to open the instance of Powertech Event Manager in Forensic Analysis mode, allowing you to hunt and identify new threats by navigating through the security events that have been collected. Click View in the Forensic Analysis panel to open this display.
