Messages

Use the Messages window to work with the history for all messages. This includes seeing how the message was answered in the past.

Getting There: In the Navigation Pane, clicktap Messages under Robot Console.

Click the Settings icon The Data Filter icon used throughout the Robot CONSOLE Explorer windows. to sort or filter.

You can filter the display by (All Messages, Today's Messages, and Messages Waiting for a Response). Select any of these and only the messages that correspond to that filter are displayed. Messages Waiting for a Response is the default filter.

 

Click the Show Actions icon The Show Actions icon. to display a menu of options. For details on the options, see Working with Messages.

Column Function

Text

Shows the message text. It can be the original message text or the alternative text defined for the message by a message set.

Status

Shows the current status of the message. The possible statuses are:

  • Waiting - Waiting for a reply.
  • Response - Waiting for a response.
  • Message Default - Reply came from the message default.
  • Message Center - Reply came from a message center.
  • Message Set - Reply came from a message set.
  • System Reply - Reply came from the system reply list.
  • Information - Informational message.
  • Outside Console - Message was answered outside of Robot Console.
  • Sent Reply - Reply sent back to the system that created the message; changes to a status of Message Center when confirmation is received.
  • Robot Alert - Reply came from a Robot Alert pager or via email.

Severity

Displays the possible severity levels:

  • 00   Information
  • 10   Warning
  • 20   Error
  • 30   Severe error
  • 40   Abnormal end of program
  • 50   Abnormal end of job
  • 60   System status
  • 70   Device integrity
  • 80   System alert
  • 90   System integrity
  • 99   Action

Type

Displays the possible message types:

  • Completion
  • Diagnostic
  • Escape
  • Information
  • Inquiry
  • Log Monitoring Information (specific to Robot Console)
  • Log Monitoring Inquiry (specific to Robot Console)
  • Notify
  • Reply
  • Request

Message ID

Shows the message ID.

Message Center

The message center where the message appears.

Date/Time

The date and time the message was sent.

Message Queue

The monitored message queue that received the message.
